TRUE NETWORK
TRUE Network supports arts, entertainment, creative, educational, business, and community collaboration consistent with its Bylaws and its principles of Transparency, Respect, and Unity.
Membership may be available to artists, performers, creators, producers, educators, volunteers, businesses, community supporters, and others who support the mission of TRUE Network. Submitting an application does not create membership and does not guarantee acceptance.
Every membership application must be reviewed and voted upon by the TRUE Network Board of Directors before membership may be approved.
Board discussion and voting are conducted offline through TRUE Network's internal governance process and are not conducted through the public membership application website. Applicants are informed only of the Organization's official decision; individual Board member votes, identities, deliberations, and internal discussion are not disclosed through the application system.
The normal process is: Application → Administrative Review → Board Review & Vote → Official Decision → Membership Fee → Active Membership.
Applications will be considered using legitimate organizational factors consistent with TRUE Network's mission, Bylaws, Code of Conduct, and applicable law. TRUE Network will not discriminate on the basis of any status protected by applicable law.
Applicants certify that information submitted is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge. TRUE Network may request clarification or additional information. Materially false, misleading, or intentionally incomplete information may delay or result in denial of an application and may affect continued membership if discovered later.
The current annual membership fee is $100.00 per year. There is no charge to submit a membership application. The annual fee becomes due only after the Board has approved the application. Payment by itself does not create or guarantee membership. The Board may establish or change dues, schedules, classifications, or authorized waivers in accordance with the Bylaws.
An applicant becomes an active member only after Board approval and completion of applicable membership requirements, including payment of required dues. Good standing may require compliance with the Bylaws, Code of Conduct, dues requirements, and other policies properly adopted by TRUE Network.
Active members in good standing have voting rights as provided by the Bylaws. Member voting rights are separate from the Board of Directors' authority and responsibility to review and vote on membership applications.
Members are expected to act with professionalism, honesty, integrity, fairness, and respect. Conduct that materially harms TRUE Network, its members, guests, partners, programs, reputation, or community may be addressed under the Bylaws and Code of Conduct.
Membership may be suspended or terminated for serious misconduct, failure to maintain good standing, material violation of TRUE Network policies, or other grounds permitted by the Bylaws. Notice and an opportunity to respond will be provided where required by the Bylaws or applicable law.
Membership does not guarantee selection for performances, productions, exhibitions, sponsorships, grants, awards, paid work, contracts, referrals, or specific event access. Separate selection procedures or agreements may apply.
Members are encouraged to support fellow members and TRUE Network through appropriate networking, mentoring, volunteering, event participation, promotion, and collaborative activities. Specific commitments may require separate written agreements.
Artists and creators retain ownership of their original works unless otherwise agreed in writing. Membership itself does not transfer ownership of creative works to TRUE Network.
TRUE Network events may be photographed, filmed, streamed, or otherwise recorded for legitimate organizational, documentary, promotional, educational, or historical purposes. Separate releases may be required for particular productions or uses. Participants may provide written opt-out notice where an opt-out is reasonably available.
Applicants and members authorize TRUE Network to contact them regarding applications, membership status, dues, meetings, events, programs, and legitimate organizational notices. Application information will be used for legitimate organizational administration, review, and compliance purposes, with access limited to those who reasonably require it.
Membership does not create employment, partnership, joint venture, agency, or entitlement to financial benefit. Any compensated services require separate authorization and must comply with applicable conflict-of-interest and compensation requirements.
TRUE Network will operate consistently with the restrictions applicable to its charitable and educational purposes. Individual members may engage in lawful political activity in their personal capacities but may not present personal political activity as an official position of TRUE Network without authorization.
TRUE Network does not guarantee that membership dues or other payments are tax-deductible. Applicants and members should consult their own tax advisers regarding their circumstances.
The Board may amend these Membership Terms & Conditions when appropriate and consistent with the Bylaws and applicable law. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
These Membership Terms & Conditions supplement the TRUE Network Bylaws and Board policies. If these Terms conflict with the Bylaws, the Bylaws control.
